Train smart. Live strong. Stay home.

HomeFit RVA exists to remove the friction between you and a better body. Here's how Nathan thinks about the work.

The story.

Nathan Kelley has spent over 35 years, from Miami to Montreal, helping people reach their weight-loss and athletic-performance goals. He uses only scientifically proven, evidence-based protocols delivered through modern coaching technology.

He spent years watching the same pattern in commercial gyms: clients motivated for a month, then quietly disappearing. The bottleneck was almost never the program. It was the trip to the gym.

HomeFit RVA was built around that observation. By bringing the workout to the client's living room, with equipment that fits in a closet, adherence stops being the hard part. Now the work can actually start.

Nathan has been an accredited National Academy of Sports Medicine Hands-On Workshop provider (Helping other professionals "Up Their Game"), holds several advanced NASM certifications, including Corrective Exercise Specialist & Performance Enhancement Specialist. Has formally studied nutrition and is a Certified Nutrition Counselor. He also is an accredited GLP-1 & Metabolic Support Coach and Senior Fitness Specialist. In between work, he travels internationally attending Exercise Science conferences & continues training under mentors in strength and rehab. Oh! And did we mention that he currently lives in Richmond and likes to do Alpinism and Orienteering?

Nathan built HomeFit RVA around a simple idea: the best workout is the one you'll actually show up for. Removing the friction of getting to a gym is the easiest way to make that happen.

The philosophy

Four things every program rests on.

Sustainable

Programs you can keep doing for years, not weeks. No burnout cycles.

Specific

Built around your goals, your space, your body — never copy-pasted.

Personal

One coach. One client. One hour of total focus on you.

Honest

Real talk about effort, expectations, and what it takes to change.

The promise
"I show up on time, I bring the work, and I treat your goals like they're mine. That's the deal."
— Nathan Kelley
Accountability

How accountability is supposed to work.

"Accountability is a two-way street. When two or more parties enter into an agreement, it's expected that all parties will abide by this agreement to the benefit of all parties involved or else there are consequences."

HomeFit RVA agrees strongly with this statement! So we ask that, out of consideration to your trainer, you will give 24 hours' notice before cancelling your scheduled appointments. Failure to do so will result in you being charged for this session.

This is standard in this industry.

However, we believe accountability is a two-way street and we sincerely wish the rest of our industry felt the same. So, in that spirit, if one of our trainers cancels for one of your scheduled sessions, YOU will not only be refunded on a prorated basis for that month's scheduled sessions, but you will be PAID that value again. All in the spirit of accountability going both ways!

For example, if the prorated value of a particular session for that month is $200 and one of our trainers is not available to keep that scheduled session, you will be receiving $400 within 24 hours. Simple enough?

In our opinion, for too long this industry has penalized the customer and given themselves "Free Passes" when things didn't work out as expected. We intend to change that. Please ask us how we do this, in addition to providing records and receipts at the end of each session (showing with objective metrics how you have improved AND helping you keep track of how many sessions you used vs. just taking our word for it), among other things!

Is this a fit?

A quick gut check.

  • 1
Do you live or work within the RVA metro?
  • 2
Do you have a 10×10 ft area in your home you can train in?
  • 3
Are you ready to commit to at least one session per week for 8 weeks?
  • 4
Are you willing to be honest about your nutrition and recovery habits?

If you answered yes to most — let's talk.
